The Bulldog

Colours: Half a dozen or so colours occur in the Bulldog’s coat. In order of preference for show purposes they are red brindle; all other brindles; solid white; solid red, fawn, or fallow; and piebald (a symmetrical arrangement of patches of two or more colours). With any of these colours, a small white patch on the chest may be present. Black rarely occurs and is not desirable.

The Border Terrier

The Border Terrier was bred for the very specific job of hunting and catching the foxes that threatened the livestock in the Border area between England and Scotland. Its body shape and size are finely tuned to allow the dog to keep up with horses, yet crawl deep into fox holes after its prey.

Colours: There are four acceptable colours or colour combinations for the Border Terrier: red, wheaten, blue and tan, and grizzle and tan. A darker muzzle appears on most dogs of this breed, and a white spot on the chest is also acceptable.
